We take your intellectual property and confidentiality seriously. Your designs are yours, and we treat them that way.
2. You Own Everything
First things first: you own everything. We don't claim any rights to your work. The files you send us are used for one thing only — manufacturing your parts. That's it.
Everything you share with us stays confidential. We don't pass your files or project details to anyone outside Makelab without your permission. All our employees sign confidentiality agreements, and we maintain secure file storage with strict access controls.
3. Marketing & Photos
We won't use photos of your parts in marketing materials, case studies, or our portfolio unless you explicitly give us written consent. Any photos we take are purely for internal quality control.
4. How We Protect Your Files
Your files live on secure, encrypted servers. Only the production and engineering staff who actually need to work on your project have access. We run regular security audits and keep our systems updated.
5. NDAs & Custom Agreements
If your project needs additional legal protection, we're happy to sign NDAs. We can work with:

Timeline: NDAs typically take 3 business days (Standard lead time) to review and execute, so plan accordingly.
6. Export Control Compliance
We comply with all U.S. export control regulations. If you're in a sensitive or highly regulated industry, you might need to provide some additional documentation.
