"At Risk" (also called Acknowledged Risk) is a status for orders we've flagged as likely to have print failures, cosmetic deviations, or inaccuracies, because of fragile or unsupported geometry, complex orientation or support needs, long print times, material sensitivities, or expedited lead times, and that you have approved to print anyway. We notify you in writing first, and production continues only after you approve.
Important notes about "At Risk" orders:
Non-refundable: These orders are final once approved and cannot be refunded.
Quality is not guaranteed: Because of risky files or expedited timelines, we are limited in options for quality assurance. Quality for At Risk orders are not guaranteed.
May exhibit variances: Artifacts such as support scarring, layer shifts, or reduced detail may occur.

What are support structures, raft structures, and support scarring?
Support structures — Added to support overhangs or bridges during printing, then removed after printing.
Raft structures — Thin horizontal layers that support the main structure. Easily removed with tools.
Support scarring — Marks left from support removal, especially common on SLA prints. They can be smoothed by sanding.
How to remove support & raft structures:
FDM parts: Gently pull supports away with hands or tools.
SLA parts: Use flush cutters to carefully snip supports, being cautious with delicate features.
Removing support scarring (SLA parts):
- Use sandpaper (start with ~150 grit) and gloves. Gradually sand surfaces, wiping away dust for a smooth finish.
