How does checkout work?

Checkout takes four steps after your parts are set up: lead time and delivery, your details, payment, then confirmation. You can go back to any finished step by clicking its name at the top of the page.

Place your order by 3:30 PM ET to keep the dates you see. A countdown at the top of each checkout step shows how long you have. After 3:30 PM, or on a weekend or holiday, production starts the next business day.

Step 1: Lead time and delivery

1. Need it by (optional). Enter a date and we pick the cheapest build speed and delivery that gets your parts there in time.
2. Select lead time. Choose how fast we build your parts. The price change against Standard shows on each option.
3. Select delivery method. Choose Local pickup (free, at our Brooklyn factory), Courier ($15, delivered before 5 PM in our delivery zone) or Shipping (UPS, with an arrival date for each service).
4. Discount code. If you have one, enter it here, in the order summary. It cannot be added on a later step.
5. Press Continue to checkout →.

You can also press Save quote or Send quote here to keep the quote or email it to someone.

Step 2: Billing and shipping

1. Provide contact information. Your email is the one you signed in with. Add your full name and a phone number. Company, PO number and CC addresses are optional.
2. Provide shipping info. Start typing your address and pick it from the list. Add an apartment, suite or floor if you have one. Then press Save shipping address.
3. Provide billing info.Same as shipping address is ticked for you. Untick it to enter a different billing address, then press Save billing address.
4. Press Continue to checkout →.

Step 3: Payment

Pay by card or PayPal. If your account is set up for them, you will also see Invoice and Pay by bank transfer. If you have store credit, tick Use my store credit to apply it. Then press Place order.

Card details go straight to our payment processor and never reach Makelab's servers.

Step 4: Confirmation

You will see Order placed — you're all set! with your production start, ready date and delivery date. Your order number is in the confirmation email, titled Order [number] is Placed.

We then review your files for printability. If they pass, production starts and we email your dispatch confirmation. If something needs fixing, the order goes on hold and we contact you.

You can follow your order any time under Order history in your account.
