Local pickup is free at our Brooklyn factory: 13 42nd Street, Building A, Suite 502, Brooklyn, NY 11232. Choose Local Pickup when you order, wait for your "ready for pickup" email, then come by Monday–Friday, 10:00am–5:30pm.
How it works
Choose local pickup. Select Local Pickup as the delivery method in the Instant Quote. If you're working with our Service Team, they'll confirm your delivery preference before sending your invoice. Your order confirmation shows your ready-by date.
Your parts are guaranteed ready by 3:30pm on that date. Most orders finish earlier. Parts often come off the machines the same day they're due, which is why we can't quote an exact hour in advance.
Wait for the "ready for pickup" email. It goes out the moment your parts are packed. Please don't head over before it arrives; parts with extensive post-processing may not be finished until later in the day.
Pick up anytime within 3 months during pickup hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00am–5:30pm. (Summer Fridays: we close at 1pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day.) See Observed holidays for closures.
Sending someone else? Anyone can pick up your order, as long as they have your order number.
Need it at a specific time?
Morning pickup: Parts are often still coming off the printers on the morning of your due date. For a guaranteed morning pickup, schedule it for the day after your due date; your parts will be waiting when we open at 10am.
A specific hour on the due date: Ask Jarvis, the chat on this page, and we'll try to prioritize your job.
After-hours pickup: Available for a $75 fee with advance notice.
Finding us
Makelab is in the Bush Terminal complex in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The building has controlled access:
- On foot: walk to 13 42nd Street and go to the door under the bridge. That's the way into Building A.
- Driving: come in through the security booth on 41st Street (it's for cars only) and tell them you're picking up an order from Makelab in Suite 502. Loop around and park in any open spot, then walk to the door under the bridge.
- Everyone, on foot or driving: show a photo ID at the Building A front desk, just inside the lobby.
- Have your order confirmation ready (printed or on your phone) so we can match you to your parts quickly.
- Go up to the 5th floor, walk through the double doors, and Suite 502 is straight ahead.
Getting here: D, N, or R train to 36th Street, then a short walk. By car, Bush Terminal is accessible from the BQE and the Belt Parkway.
