Some choices can't be priced automatically, so a person checks them and sends you a firm quote. When that happens, the checkout button reads Request a quote → instead of Continue to checkout. Often you can change one setting and check out right away instead.
What sends a quote for review, and how to avoid it
| Reason | Instant-price option |
|---|---|
| You chose Interlocking assembly for a file with several pieces | If the pieces aren't really linked like a chain, remove the part, upload it again and choose Combine into one solid part or Separate parts |
| A fast lead time marked Needs RFQ | Choose a lead time without the badge |
| A Custom color | Choose one of the standard colors |
| A finish that isn't priced instantly | Choose None under Finishing and mention the finish in a note |
| The part is too big for the printer | Choose a technology with a larger build size, or scale the part down |
| We couldn't measure the file precisely, or count its separate pieces | Re-export the file as STEP or STL and upload it again |
