How do I change my order, or approve a change you sent me?

You can change your own order from your account until it's confirmed. After that, delivery details can still change until dispatch day. When we need to change something, we email you and nothing happens until you approve.

Changing your own order

1. Open Order history in your account and click the order.
2. Make your changes. Part settings are on the Parts tab. Lead time, delivery and billing each have an edit pencil.
3. Each change is added to a pending changes bar. Nothing applies yet.
4. Press Review changes. You see the previous total, the change and the new total.
5. Press Continue to payment if the change costs more, or Continue to refund if it costs less. If the price doesn't change, press Confirm changes.

When you get money back, choose Makelab credit on your next order (with a 10% bonus) or a refund to your original payment method. We email a confirmation once the change is in.

You can only have one change waiting at a time. To cancel an order, contact us.

Approving a change we sent you

Sometimes we need to change your order, for example to fix a file issue we found in review. We email you with the subject a change needs your approval — order #[number].

1. Press Review & approve in the email. Replying to the email doesn't update your order.
2. Check what's changing and whether the price moves.
3. Approve it. The page shows any price difference and how it's settled: paid on the page, added to your invoice, covered by us, or refunded.

Nothing happens to your order until you approve. If the email gives an Approve by time, approve before then to keep your ship date. After that, your dates are worked out again when you approve.
