What are the different order statuses?

We use order statuses as a way to internally organize and trigger automated customer-facing emails that communicate order state.

New

When your order is first placed, your order is defaulted to a "New" state. This means it has not yet been reviewed by a Makelab production team member

On Hold

Our Production team has reviewed your order and found some printability issues in your part(s). At this point, we need a response and a decision from you to move forward. We can either continue to wait for a file change, cancel the order, or proceed with the order being "At Risk". You will receive an email from us prompting a response.

"At Risk" means but the quality may not be up to our standards or has a high chance of failure. "At-Risk" orders are non-refundable and are printed with Best Efforts.

Confirmed

Your order has been reviewed by our Production team and everything is good to go. Your Dispatch Date is listed in the email, highlighted in yellow, and we will begin 3D printing your part(s). At this point, all order details listed in the confirmation email are set in stone. Any change requests cannot be guaranteed and may require a new order.

Please see Terms & Conditions regarding the policies around change requests and order cancellations after confirmation.

Confirmed At Risk

After consulting with you, and you have chosen to move forward with this order being "At Risk", we will proceed. This email confirms the decision made and a dispatch date is included. This means we are able to proceed with your order, but the quality may not be up to our standards or has a high chance of failure. "At-Risk" orders are non-refundable and are printed with Best Efforts.

Updated Dispatch Date

Your order has hit some delays while in production. After receiving an email with the new Updated Dispatch Date, we will reach out to you following up with a response and further details.

Dispatch

Your order has completed production and is ready for dispatch! This means it has completed printing and our team has also completed removing supports.

If you are shipping, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number that is automatically generated from our system.

If you are receiving a Same-Day Delivery, you will receive communication directly from your delivery driver. Please see Same-Day Delivery for more information.
