This Privacy Policy describes how Makelab Inc. ("Makelab," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you visit our websites, contact us, request a quote, place an order, or opt in to our SMS messaging program.

Project information — 3D files, drawings, materials, quantities, and project details submitted through our intake or quote forms.
Communications — messages sent via web forms, email, SMS, phone, or chat.
SMS opt-in data — phone number, consent timestamp, and the IP address used at the time of opt-in.

Information collected automatically:

Device and browser information, IP address, referring URL, and pages visited.
Cookies and similar technologies used to operate the site, measure usage, and remember preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

To prepare quotes, fulfill orders, and deliver parts.
To communicate about quotes, orders, projects, and support requests via email, SMS, and phone.
To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. SMS / Text Messaging

Makelab operates a transactional and conversational SMS program. Customers and prospects who explicitly opt in receive SMS messages about order status, quote notifications, project updates, delivery and pickup confirmations, and one-to-one replies to inquiries and support requests. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out.

Opt-in is collected through a standalone, unchecked-by-default consent checkbox on our intake form at www.makelab.com/intake and our SMS opt-in form at www.makelab.com/sms-opt-in. The consent checkbox is presented separately from any other agreement and the form cannot be submitted unless the user ticks the box. Phone numbers are used solely to send the transactional notifications described above.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4. How We Share Information

Service providers that host our website, deliver email and SMS, process payments, manage CRM data, and provide analytics. These providers are contractually bound to use the information only to perform services on our behalf.
Logistics partners and shipping carriers required to deliver your parts.
Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
Business transfers in connection with mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, lease, or share your phone number, SMS opt-in data, or consent with any third party for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

SMS opt-in records are retained for the duration of your participation in the program plus a reasonable period afterward to evidence consent. Other personal information is retained as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Email — use the unsubscribe link or contact us.
Access, correction, deletion — contact us using the information below.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
