What happens if my file is rejected?

Last updated: 2026-10-12

If a file cannot be printed as submitted, Makelab will notify you with the reason for rejection.

Common causes include non-manifold geometry, unsupported wall thickness, or mesh errors. A rejected file does not enter production until it is corrected. Our team provides guidance on how to fix issues, and in many cases we can adjust the file internally for a fee.

👉 If your file is rejected and you’d like Makelab to help resolve it, submit the intake form with your file and request a correction review.

What happens if I upload a corrupted or incomplete file?

If a file is corrupted or incomplete, Makelab cannot move it into production.

Our system will flag the issue, and our team will notify you. In many cases, we can attempt a repair or recommend edits, but a corrected file will be required before production begins.

👉 If you’re unsure whether your file is intact, submit the intake form with your file and request a pre-check.
